M.Th /M.A Programs

Designed to encourage serious study, research, reflection and articulation by the students in Theology of Consecrated Life. Students will be trained and equipped with the resources and skills needed to become qualified resource personnel, effective formators, good animators and visionary leaders in the field of religious life and mission.

Diploma Program

Designed to deepen the commitment through a renewal program focused on the Theology of Consecrated life. This would be an ideal course for those preparing for their perpetual commitment, those desiring for meaningfully spending their sabbatical year and other religious who want to refresh their life as religious.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Professed religious, with at least three years of lived experience in Consecrated Life
  • For M. Th. (Licentiate): B.Th.
  • For M.A. (Masters): B.A. in any subject from a recognized University
  • For Diploma: PUC or its equivalent
  • Personal Interview if called for
  • Adequate knowledge of English
SUMMER PROGRAMS

1. Art and Discipline of Spiritual Guidance: Theory and Practicum (Two weeks in April)

Designed to introduce the participants to an understanding and practice of formative spiritual direction within the tradition of Christian spirituality and as a ministry in the contemporary church. The aim of guidance is to help people grow and deepen spiritually as they come to listen to the questions that emerge from their interactions with themselves, others and God and discover their unique life direction in God.

2. Intensive One Month Course in Theology of Religious Life (April-May):

Designed for those who are busy with apostolate during the year and unable to attend the full year course. It is an ideal course for those looking for a short course for renewal of their religious life, preparation for their perpetual commitment or for those who are animating the religious communities.

Classification of

Students

  • M.Th and M. A. Students: those who attend the full two-year program

  • Diploma students: those who follow the first year courses of the M.A. Program and aspire for the acquisition of the Diploma

  • Auditing Students: those who follow most of the plan of studies, but do not aspire for the acquisition of a Degree or Diploma

  • Part-Time Students: those who desire to participate in the diploma program for a short term period. They can choose the courses of their choice and attend them as residential or as non-residential students

Summer Programs: From January to April 20 during the year of commencement

  • M.Th and M.A.: June 20, 2012 - March 25, 2014 (Fees: First Year - Rs. 40,000; Second Year - Rs. 40,000

  • Diploma: June 20, 2012 - March 20, 2013 (Fees: Rs. 35,000)

  • Consecrated Life Week Seminar: Feb 01-03, 2012 (Fees: Rs. 70 per day; Non-residential)

  • Course on Spiritual Guidance: April 10-22, 2012 (Fees: Rs. 4,000)

  • Intensive one Month Course: April 25-May 24, 2012 (Fees: Rs. 7,000)

All Fees are inclusive of both accommodation and tuition fees. Scholarships are available for those who apply early.
